Animated Travel Maps for Business Presentations
A business route animation should clarify a relationship between locations. It should not imply operational precision that the map does not contain. Define the claim the map supports
Use the animation to introduce an international project, office network, conference journey or customer story. State dates, volumes and operational details elsewhere in the presentation where they can be sourced and updated.
If the route represents a conceptual relationship rather than an actual trip, label it clearly in the slide notes or narration.
Match the presentation system
Choose 16:9 for most modern slide decks. Use chroma when the route must sit on a branded background; use a finished dark background when the clip will occupy the full slide.
Keep the route title short and repeat the exact city names used elsewhere in the deck. Consistency reduces the chance that a stakeholder interprets two labels as different locations.
Design for the room
Projectors reduce contrast and make small labels hard to read. Preview the clip full-screen and from the back of a room if possible. A slower, simpler route often communicates better than a highly active camera.
Embed the video locally in the deck and keep a still image fallback. Conference Wi-Fi should not be part of the playback plan.
